Paris and the Olympics

A Day in Paris – A Divine Experience

Today, our adventure led us straight into the heart of Paris, the host city for the Olympics. We hopped into an Uber and made our way to the iconic Eiffel Tower. Our first stop was the Madame Rozier restaurant for lunch, and let me tell you, “exquisite” doesn’t even begin to cover it. “Elegant” falls short because it was simply divine. The flavors, the presentation, the ambiance – it was all an unforgettable start to our day.

After indulging in a fabulous meal, we continued our journey up the Eiffel Tower, reaching the second stage. The views from up there were nothing short of majestic. Paris sprawled out beneath us, a beautiful tapestry of history and charm.

Leaving the Eiffel Tower behind, we embraced a bit of Parisian life by renting bikes and cycling our way to the Musée d’Orsay. This museum is a treasure trove, and we headed straight to the fifth floor to immerse ourselves in the world of Impressionist paintings. The colors, the strokes, the emotions captured in each piece – it was a feast for the eyes and the soul.

As the day continued, we ventured into the Parisian subway and made our way to Roland Garros Stadium. Here, we were treated to the most amazing tennis experience of our lives. Watching Iga Świątek, the number one female tennis player in the world, compete against the relatively unknown Xiyu Wang from China was thrilling. Wang struggled to keep up with Świątek’s powerful serves, which were clocking in at over 180 kph. The energy, the skill, the passion – it was a match to remember.

But the excitement didn’t end there. The second match we got to see at the Olympics was between Sebastian Ofner from Austria and Daniil Medvedev, who is playing without a country because he was from Russia. Medvedev easily won the match as he was a much stronger player, showcasing his incredible skill and dominance on the court.

Paris has a way of enchanting you at every turn, and today was no exception. From the divine lunch at Madame Rozier to the breathtaking views from the Eiffel Tower, the artistic splendor of the Musée d’Orsay, and the electrifying tennis matches at Roland Garros – every moment was a highlight.

Stay tuned for more as our journey continues around the world— tomorrow we are off to Dubai!
