Day 11- Yellowstone
On July 5th we woke up in Yellowstone and Sydney started cooking. She chopped up a salad and made chili in the crockpot so that when we came back from a day of hiking we would have dinner ready.
Yellowstone is so beautiful! We stopped many times to explore. Here is Jack and Dakota at Firehole Falls.
Half of the worlds hot springs and geysers are in Yellowstone. You can feel the heat under your feet as you walk near them. They are so beautiful and so hot!

We had lunch at the Old Faithful Lodge and then watched Old Faithful spray 100 feet in the air.
Jack bought this pocket watch at the gift shop! He immediately translated the latin. Yay Veritas!
We hiked up to see the Yellowstone Caldera (Super volcano). Absolutely beautiful, and the things you see in Yellowstone are different than things you have seen anywhere else in the world.
We kept hiking until we reached Ferris Falls which was absolutely stunning!
This elk was so close to our car.
We came home and had a great dinner and then went to bed.
