We woke up at 6:15AM and went out on Game drive with our amazing driver “James.” We saw Zebras, Giraffes, Lions, Cape Buffalo, Rhinos and a bunch of other animals. We then returned to the lodge and had a made to order breakfast.

After breakfast we went out to tour one of the medical clinics that the funds from the Tusk non-profit support. We heard that since the clinic has opened about 10 years ago they have seen 1,000,000 patients. They have also reduced the AIDS epidemic from 10% of the population to 4%. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the lodge. The highlight was the garden tour by “George” who has been maintaining and caring the garden for the last 10 years. He has actually learned to graft  foreign plants with local plants so that things that would not normally grow here, do. Amazing.

We then got to play with a giraffe… so cool.

We ended the evening having a quiet meal in our lodge and then went out on the deck for a fire.
