Exploring Iceland’s Golden Circle

Today was an amazing day in Iceland as we embarked on the famous Golden Circle tour! Our adventure took us to some of the country’s most iconic natural wonders, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for the whole Layland family.

Our first stop was at Thingvellir National Park, where we marveled at the sight of the tectonic plates. It’s incredible to see the place where the North American and Eurasian plates meet and slowly drift apart. Standing between two continents was a surreal and humbling experience.

Next, we visited the Geysir geothermal area. Watching the geysers erupt was exhilarating! The anticipation built as we waited for Strokkur to shoot boiling water high into the air, and it didn’t disappoint. We were absolutely thrilled by the sight, and we all found it super awesome.

Our final stop was the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. The sheer power and beauty of the waterfall left us all in awe. The thundering sound of the water and the mist that rose from the falls created a magical atmosphere. We took so many photos, but none can truly capture the magnificence of Gullfoss.

Dakota, Jack, Sydney, Astrid, Wendy, and I couldn’t believe our eyes at each stop. Everything was just super awesome, and we felt so lucky to witness these incredible sights. Iceland’s natural beauty is simply beyond words, and today’s Golden Circle tour was a highlight of our trip.

Stay tuned for more adventures as we continue around the world. Tomorrow at 8:30 AM, we fly to Scotland..
