Fathers Day in Bethlehem!

What a day! We woke up and met our friend Hunter in Bethlehem. He arranged for a guide to show us around. We went to the church built on the sight where Mary gave birth to Jesus. We explored the caves where St. Jerome translated the Bible into Latin. Right now it is Rammadon and everything is closed during the day, but a sweet little boy opened up the Starbucks for us! It wasn’t a liscenced Starbucks but the coffee still tasted great! We went to Boaz’s field where the angels told the shepherds that Jesus was born. We sang in the church of the Angels which had the most amazing acoustics! We then traveled outside of Bethlehem to the Pakistan border to a hotel where Young Life was having a camp for Capernaum (disabled) kids. What an amazing welcome these sweet children gave us! Layla, the owner of the hotel, made us an incredible roasted chicken lunch, complete with a homemade cake! We spent the rest of the day in the pool where Jack made everyone cheer with a flip he did off the zip line. We traveled to Jerusalem and had dinner with Hunter and Laurie at “The wine and cheese” located on the top of the Notre Dame hotel.

Happy Father's Day! Hope the Layland 6 are given traveling mercies everywhere they go! We know you all bring great joy to Hunter and Laurie, yet I pray they feel God's joy as we pray for them from afar🙏
