From Tokyo Lights to Snowy Nights

We woke up in lovely Tokyo at the Grand Hyatt, and while most people would savor every extra minute of sleep, my body had other plans. I was wide awake at 2:00 AM — bright-eyed and ready to take on the day. Wendy and Dakota wisely slept in until 4:00, but for me, the quiet early hours felt like a gift.

A Perfect Tokyo Morning

I slipped down to the gym and had one of those mornings that just feels right. Thirty minutes of lifting. Two and a half hours on the bike. An hour in the pool. It was the kind of workout that leaves you energized, centered, and grateful. Add in some quiet time to reflect, and it was pretty much a perfect start to the day.

By 7:00 AM, we were all back together — but not before Wendy and Dakota headed out for a long morning walk.

A Stroll to Tokyo Tower

They made their way to the iconic Tokyo Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. There’s something special about seeing it up close — especially in the softer light of the morning. It’s an amazing structure to walk by and a reminder of how beautifully Tokyo blends tradition and modern energy.

Afterward, we enjoyed a relaxed breakfast in the lounge — soaking in our last few moments in the city before the next leg of our adventure.

Northbound to Sapporo

We grabbed a cab and headed to the airport for a short, one-hour flight north to New Chitose Airport. From there, we rented a car and began the drive up the mountain.

The drive was absolutely breathtaking — snow-covered landscapes, winding mountain roads, and views that felt almost unreal. When we arrived at our hotel overlooking the slopes, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The mountains stood quiet and majestic, promising adventure ahead.

We went out for dinner, enjoyed the cozy mountain atmosphere, and turned in early — well, almost all of us did.

A Midnight Meeting Across the World

While everyone else drifted off to sleep, I had one more commitment to keep. My FOCUS group meetings started at midnight local time — 10:00 AM in Florida. So there I was, wrapping up an incredible travel day by jumping into meaningful conversations halfway across the world. I finished around 1:30 AM.

When I finally turned off the lights, I realized I had officially pulled a 24-hour day.

And somehow, it didn’t feel exhausting.

It felt full.

Full of movement.

Full of beauty.

Full of gratitude.

From a perfect Tokyo sunrise workout to a midnight meeting in the mountains, it was one long, unforgettable day — and exactly the kind of adventure I love.
