Nazareth with YL Friends
We arrived to our hotel in Nazareth after flying in from Moscow at around 1am. Everyone was still in good shape as it was only 5pm in FL. After sleeping for about six hours we went downstairs to have breakfast and meet Hunter (the director of Young Life in the Middle East) and his daughter Haley.
We then traveled on to the Baptist school of Nazareth where they have YL. It was an amazing School.
Jack made a new friend, Zach who is from VA but is on staff with YL in Nazareth…
After leaving there we went to the Village of Nazareth and toured what it was like in Nazareth when Jesus was here. We saw a cave like one he was buried in, used a real olive press.
We then went to the top of the city to the place said to be where Jesus was brought to be thrown from a cliff by the Pharisees.
We then toured the Church of Mary, which is believed to be where Mary lived when God came and told her she was going to have a baby while still being a virgin. That church was especially cool because it had murals created by every country that contributed to the rebuilding of the church.
We ended the day by going out to eat with Hunter, Laurie, and Hailey at a restaurant overlooking Nazareth.
