Today was a normal day in that crowd got up and ran a half marathon before church. The run that he went on was amazing as he ran along the ocean the entire time

After Brad‘s run everyone woke up and went to breakfast. It was an amazing breakfast with all sorts of exotic fruit. We sat together by a large window and enjoyed a special green juice.

We then drove to a Presbyterian church that Good News Church helped plant! It was a beautiful service although everything was in Portuguese. The highlight of the service was definitely singing Prince of Peace. After the service, a kind young woman named Alina showed us around the church and told us about all of the activities. She also brought us to the roof of the church where you could see the statue of Jesus.

After church we went to the farmers market which was filled with fresh vegetables and meat. Jack watched the local skateboarders.

When we returned to the hotel, Brad and Jack worked on Algebra while Wendy, Dakota, and Sydney headed to the gym. Brazil has amazing food and we have been eating our fill! Max, Brad, and Dakota headed to find tennis courts so that Dakota could practice tennis. It was a rainy day in Brazil and the courts were full of puddles but Dakota was determined to get her practice in.

We closed the day at the hotel eating and discussing the day.
