The Blue Lagoon

A Day at the Blue Lagoon

Today, the Layland family had an incredible adventure at the Blue Lagoon in Iceland! Nestled in a stunning lava field, the Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa with milky blue waters that are rich in minerals like silica and sulfur, which are said to be great for the skin.

Our visit began with a dip in the warm, soothing waters, surrounded by the breathtaking Icelandic landscape. We took full advantage of the silica mud masks, which left our skin feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. It was a fun and relaxing experience for all of us, and the kids especially enjoyed slathering on the masks and playing in the water.

However, not everything was perfect. Jack absolutely hated the changing rooms! Despite the modern facilities, he found the experience a bit overwhelming. But once we got past that hurdle, he had a blast in the lagoon.

Overall, it was a memorable day filled with laughter, relaxation, and a touch of adventure. The Blue Lagoon is truly a unique experience that we highly recommend if you ever find yourself in Iceland.
